Three Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) schools finished in the top-75 of the standings and nine of the Conference’s 10 schools were among the 281 Division III institutions that received points (out of 424 eligible Division III institutions).

Wartburg College finished seventh with 624.5 points, Central College was 43rd with 280.5 points and Loras College was 64th with 224 points. Williams (Mass.) College won its seventh NACDA Directors’ Cup in the last eight years amassing 1,158.25 points. Points are awarded in the NACDA Directors’ Cup standings based on each institution’s National Championship finish in up to 18 sports (nine men’s and nine women’s).

Other Iowa Conference schools in the final NACDA Directors’ Cup standings include Coe College (79th, 176.5 points), Buena Vista University (109th, 137 points), Luther College (113th, 130 points), University of Dubuque (t-153rd, 96 points), Upper Iowa University (179th, 74 points) and Simpson College (t-190th, 66.5 points).

Developed as a joint effort between USA Today and NACDA, the NACDA Directors’ Cup program is the only all-sports competition that recognizes the institutions with the best overall athletics program in each of three NCAA divisions and the NAIA.
