COE'S FREDRICK JACKSON NAMED AZTEC BOWL MVP

MOUNT VERNON, IOWA . . . Coe College running back Fredrick Jackson (Fort Worth, Texas/Lamar HS) led the United States Division III All-Star team to a 15-9 victory over Mexico in the 2002 Aztec Bowl in Torreon, Mexico. Jackson was named Most Valuable Player for the U.S. team.

Jackson, the two-time Iowa Conference Most Valuable Player, had the first score of the game with a 60-yard touchdown run on the first series of the game. Jackson totaled 71 yards on nine carries and 24 yards on three catches. He returned four kicks (three punts, one kickoff) for 50 yards.

The United States picked up their sixth victory with the come-from-behind win.
