CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Seven Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) basketball players, four women and three men, were named to the Third Annual d3hoops.com All-West Region Teams announced on Wednesday.

Buena Vista’s Amy Meggers (Manilla, Iowa/I-K-M HS) and Loras’ Alicia Davis (Dubuque, Iowa/Hempstead HS) were named to the d3hoops.com Women’s All-West Region First Team. Buena Vista’s Katie Maguire (Treynor, Iowa/Treynor HS) was a Second Team All-Region selection and Wartburg’s Jessica Mennen (Hampton, Iowa/Hampton-Dumont HS) was a Third Team selection.

Buena Vista teammates Scott Weber (Audubon, Iowa/Audubon HS) and Eric Wiebers (Denison, Iowa/Denison Schleswig HS) were named to the d3hoops.com Men’s All-West Region First Team. Cornell’s Matt Ditch (Center Point, Iowa/Center Point-Urbana HS) was a Third Team All-Region selection.

Players were nominated by the sports information directors at their respective schools. SIDs in each of the eight NCAA regions were permitted to vote for 10 players in their region. They voted for six front court players and four backcourt players.
