FIVE FOOTBALL PLAYERS, THREE VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Eight Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) student-athletes, five football players and three volleyball players, were named to the Academic All-District VII College Division Teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.

Donnenwerth, Tiedeman and Giesmann will join the other 21 members of the All-District VII Football First Team on the national ballot. The Academic All-America® Football Team will be announced on Monday, December 1.

Brand will join the other five members of the All-District VII Volleyball First Team on the national ballot. The Academic All-America® Volleyball Team will be announced on Thursday, December 4.

To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-District Team and the Academic All-America® Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing, be a starter or key reserve and possess at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

District VII College Division includes NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA schools in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
