CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Four Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) volleyball players were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Central Region Team announced on Wednesday.

Conference Most Valuable Player Shannon Stewart (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale HS), a junior hitter from Simpson College, along with Central College senior middle hitter Catie Brand (Davenport, Iowa/North HS) and Wartburg College senior outside hitter Dia Dohlman (Eldora, Iowa/Eldora-New Providence HS) and senior right-side hitter Amy Kueker (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock HS) all earned the AVCA honor.

Dohlman earned All-Central Region honors for the third consecutive year. This year’s honor was Brand’s second straight All-Central Region selection. All four student-athletes are now eligible for the AVCA All-America Team.

Central junior middle hitter Jamie Stark (Center Point, Iowa/Center Point-Urbana HS) and Loras College senior setter Kristen Anderson (Burbank, Ill./Queen of Peace HS) receive All-Central Region Honorable Mention.
