WARTBURG'S DOHLMAN AND SIMPSON'S STEWART NAMED TO AVCA ALL-AMERICA TEAM

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Wartburg College senior outside hitter Dia Dohlman (Eldora, Iowa/Eldora-New Providence HS) and Simpson College junior middle hitter Shannon Stewart (Urbandale, Iowa/Urbandale HS) were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Team announced on Monday. Dohlman was named to the Second Team and Stewart was named to the Third Team.

Dohlman, a four-time All-Conference and three-time AVCA All-Region selection, was fourth in the Conference with 3.51 kills per game, sixth and seventh with 4.04 digs per game. Stewart, a two-time All-Conference selection and the 2003 IIAC Most Valuable Player, led the Conference with 3.95 kills per game, was second in with 1.24 blocks per game and tied for second with a .317 hitting percentage.

Central College senior right side hitter Catie Brand (Davenport, Iowa/North HS) and Wartburg College senior right side hitter Amy Kueker (Waverly, Iowa/Waverly-Shell Rock HS) received Honorable Mention recognition.
