SEVEN NAMED TO 26th ANNUAL COLLEGE SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTORS ALL-AMERICA FOOTBALL TEAM

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Seven Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) football players were named to the 26th annual College Sports Information Directors Division III All-America Football Team on Wednesday.

Simpson College defensive back Kyle Westphal (Fontanelle, Iowa/Nodaway Valley HS) and Wartburg College defensive lineman Vince King (Burlington, Iowa/Burlington HS) were both named First Team All-Americans. Wartburg offensive lineman Jeff Voreis (Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy HS) was a Second Team selection.

Earning Sports Information Directors Third Team All-America honors were Buena Vista University linebacker Michael Irvin (Bedford, Iowa/Bedford HS), Simpson wide receiver Dusty Kain (Prairie City, Iowa/Prairie City-Monroe HS), Wartburg linebacker Matt Stoffel (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert HS) and Wartburg defensive back Cody Kelley (Tipton, Iowa/Tipton HS). Kelley was also a Third Team selection last season.

Simpson’s Mike Donnenwerth (Sheffield, Iowa/SCMT HS) received honorable mention at quarterback and punter.

The College Sports Information Directors Division III All-America Football Team in the longest running Division III football All-America program in the country.
