CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Four
Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) football players
were named to the D3football.com All-America Team announced in conjunction
with the NCAA National Championship game on Saturday.
Wartburg College defensive lineman Vince
King (Burlington, Iowa/Burlington HS) and defensive back
Cody Kelley (Tipton, Iowa/Tipton HS) were named
to the D3football.com All-America First Team. Wartburg offensive
lineman Jeff Vories (Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy
HS) and Simpson College defensive back Kyle Westphal (Fontanelle,
Iowa/Nodaway Valley HS) were named to the Second Team.
Simpson wide receiver Dusty Kain
(Prairie City, Iowa/Prairie City-Monroe HS) was a D3football.com
honorable mention All-American.
This year, eight different Iowa Conference football
players earned 20 All-American honors including nine First Team
honors from four different organizations.
