CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Three Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) men’s basketball players were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-West Region Team announced on Thursday.

Buena Vista University’s Eric Wiebers (Denison, Iowa/Denison Schleswig) was named to the six member First Team, earning NABC All-Region honors for the third straight year. Conference MVP Nate Schmidt (Cascade, Iowa/Cascade) and Jason Steege (Fredericksburg, Iowa/Fredericksburg), both of Wartburg College, were Second Team NABC All-West Region selections.
