CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Fifteen
Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) softball players
were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA)/Louisville
Slugger All-Midwest Region Team announced by the Association on
Thursday.
Conference Champion Coe College had six players
earn All-Region honors, including four on the First Team, one of
five schools nationally with four First Team selections. Wartburg
College had four All-Region selections and Central College had three
selections.

Slugger All-Midwest Region honors last season. Schmidt, Shimak and
Wagner were 2004 First Team selections. Legg and Engel were 2004
