CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Three Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) women’s basketball teams were named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 2003-04 Academic Team Top-25 Honor Roll announced on Friday.

Buena Vista University had the highest cumulative team grade point average (3.603) of any NCAA Division III school. Coe College ranked 10th among Division III schools with a cumulative team GPA of 3.488. Simpson College had a 3.395 cumulative GPA, which ranked 22nd.

The WBCA’s Academic Team Top-25 Honor Roll recognizes the nation’s highest GPA in all three NCAA divisions, NAIA and junior colleges based upon nominations submitted by WBCA member coaches.
