WOMEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP - DAY 3 RECAP

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Wartburg College golfer Andrea Schiltz maintained the individual lead heading into the final round of the 2004 Iowa Conference Women's Golf Championship at Ellis Park Golf Course in Cedar Rapids. Schiltz shot a third-round 83 and has a 54-hole score of 234, leading Simpson's Janelle Claiborne by one stroke.

Wartburg extended its team lead to ten strokes after a third-round 330. Simpson shot a 332 on Friday and sits at 983 after 54-holes. Scores of 78 by Jennifer Stork and Shanna Miller led Buena Vista to a third round low score of 326. The Beavers are in third place, 12 strokes behind Wartburg. Central and Luther round out the top-five in the team standings. Central shot 343 for a total of 1,026. Luther shot 361 for a total of 1,046.

Stork is two strokes behind Schiltz with a score of 236. Luther's Lindy Buck is three strokes back in fourth place.

The Championship continues tomorrow (October 9) at Ellis Park Golf Course. Tee times begin at 9 a.m.
