CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Three Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) volleyball players received regional recognition from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as the organization announced it All-Region Team and Regional Freshmen of the Year.

Central College senior middle hitter Jamie Stark (Center Point, Iowa/Center Point-Urbana) and junior middle hitter Katie Pederson (Lake Mills, Iowa/Lake Mills) were named to the AVCA All-Central Region Team and are now under consideration for AVCA All-America honors.

Wartburg College freshman hitter Ashley Rogers (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert) was named AVCA Central Region Freshman of the Year and honorable mention All-Region.
