CEDAR
RAPIDS , IOWA . . . Coe College senior first baseman
Chad Kramer (Iowa City, Iowa/West H.S.) has
been named to the 2006 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-American
Baseball Team as announced by the American Baseball Coaches
Association (ABCA). Kramer becomes the first baseball player
to be named an All-American at Coe since Monte Heinemeyer in
1979. The only other All-American baseball player at Coe was
Mark Parker, who was an All-American in 1977 and 1978.
Kramer,
a two-time all-region selection, led the Kohawks and ranked
seventh in the Iowa Conference with a .397 batting average.
He led the team in RBIs with 47, while hammering out a team-high
71 hits. He started all 46 games for the Kohawks.
Kramer was
the only player from an Iowa Conference college named to the
All-American squads.
