CEDAR RAPIDS , IOWA . . . Coe College senior first baseman Chad Kramer (Iowa City, Iowa/West H.S.) has been named to the 2006 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-American Baseball Team as announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Kramer becomes the first baseball player to be named an All-American at Coe since Monte Heinemeyer in 1979. The only other All-American baseball player at Coe was Mark Parker, who was an All-American in 1977 and 1978.

Kramer, a two-time all-region selection, led the Kohawks and ranked seventh in the Iowa Conference with a .397 batting average. He led the team in RBIs with 47, while hammering out a team-high 71 hits. He started all 46 games for the Kohawks.

Kramer was the only player from an Iowa Conference college named to the All-American squads.
