RAPIDS , IOWA . . . Five Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (IIAC) women’s golfers were named to the National
Golf Coaches Association (NGCA) All-American Scholar Team announced
on Monday.
Buena
Vista University junior Jennifer Stork (Carroll,
Iowa/Kuemper), Loras College sophomore Amy Kemp (Dubuque,
Iowa/Wahlert), Wartburg College seniors Lindsey Huinker
(Lawler, Iowa/Turkey Valley) and Bre Pleggenkuhle
(Clear Lake, Iowa/Clear Lake), and junior Andrea
Schiltz (Algona, Iowa/Garrigan) were recognized by
their academic excellence. The Wartburg trio received NGCA All-American
Scholar Team honors for the third consecutive year. Stork and
Kemp received the honor for the second consecutive year.
To be eligible
for NGCA All-American Scholar Team honors, a student-athlete
must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50
and must have competed in at least 66 percent of their team’s
regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
