CEDAR
RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Three Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (IIAC) volleyball players were recognized by the
American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as the organization
recently released its All-Region and All-America Teams.
Wartburg
College sophomore outside hitter Ashley Rogers (Dubuque,
Iowa/Wahlert) was named to the AVCA All-Central Region Team
and was an honorable mention All-America. Rogers, a two-time
First Team All-Iowa Conference performer, was the 2004 AVCA
All-Central Region Freshman of the Year and honorable mention
All-Region.
Central
College senior middle hitter Katie Pederson (Lake
Mills, Iowa/Lake Mills) and sophomore setter Terri Berger
(Sioux City, Iowa/Heelan) received All-Central Region
honorable mention. Pederson, the 2005 IIAC Most Valuable Player
and two-time First Team All-Conference, was an All-Region selection
last season. Berger was a 2005 Second Team All-Conference selection.
