DUBUQUE'S McDERMOTT NAMED D-III NEWS COACH OF THE MONTH

DUBUQUE, IOWA . . . University of Dubuque's men's basketball coach, Marty McDermott was honored this week by the DIII News, a monthly newsletter of Division III Men's Basketball, for being named November's Coach of the Month.

McDermott led his Spartans to a 4-0 mark to start the season including wins over #20-ranked UW-Platteville and Clark College in the 2005 Mississippi River Challenge hosted by the University of Dubuque last weekend.

"It's an honor to be selected among my peers in Division III," commented McDermott. "It's really a credit to how well our team has been playing to start the season. We have a good start and now we just need to keep the momentum continuing throughout the season."
