IOWA . . . Wartburg College senior forward Harrison
Kibombo-Lugujjo of Uganda and junior midfielder Luke
McClyman of Cedar Rapids were tabbed All-Americans
by d3kicks.com late last week. Kibombo-Lugujjo tied the single-season
record for goals (28), set a new single-season mark in points
(62) and set a new career mark in shots (324), while McClyman
turned in 16 goals, seven assists, 39 points and four game-winning
goals this season. Kibombo-Lugujjo was first team, while McClyman
was a third team pick. Both players were previously honored
as First Team All-West Region by d3kicks.com.
Kibombo-Lugujjo
and McClyman are the third and fourth Iowa Conference men's
soccer players to earn All-American honors. Former Wartburg
forward Verne Houston and former Knights' goalkeeper
Collin Lane were chosen Third Team All-Americans
by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)
in 2004.
