CORAL SPRINGS, Florida. . . A total of nine Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) women's golfers are listed among the 402 NCAA women's golfers to be named to the 2007-08 All-American Scholar Team by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA).

Selected from the Iowa Conference are Coe College's Amanda Nigg (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert) and Angela Meisterling (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Washington), Cornell College's Brittany Szczepanik (Appleton, Wis./East), Loras College's Amy Kemp (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert), Luther College's Jenessa Bonikowske (Stevens Point, Wis.), and the quartet of Daina Deery (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls), Stephanie Burns (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls), Kate Thompson (Webster City, Iowa/Webster City), and Ellen Rickert (Hudson, Iowa/Hudson) of 2007 IIAC Champion and NCAA participant Wartburg College.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent of all college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
