WARTBURG'S THOMPSON
NAMED TO NGCA ALL-AMERICA SECOND TEAM

WAVERLY, IOWA . . . Wartburg College junior women’s golfer Kate Thompson of Webster City has been named a second team Duramed Futures Tour Division III All-American by the National Golf Coaches Association.

Just the second playing All-American in program history, she helped guide the Knights to a 10th-place finish at the 2008 national tournament, hosted by Wartburg College at Centennial Oaks Golf Course. Thompson ended the four-round national meet with a 307 total, good for 12th place. She also earned all-Midwest Region honors from the NGCA.
