DUBUQUE,
IOWA . . . The University of Dubuque women's soccer
student-athlete, Caitlin Tero (Albuquerque,
N.M./Sandia HS), was named to the eleven person roster for the
D3kicks.com Team of the Week for the second time this season.
Earlier this week she was named as the IIAC's Women's Athlete
of the Week for all the eight conference sports in competition
during the week.
Caitlin
had a huge week with 5 goals and 1 assist in three games. She
had the game winning assist in the 105th mintue of the game
to beat Ashford University 2-1. She scored the only goal for
the Spartans in the 1-1 tie against Central College. Then against
UW-Stout trailing 2-0 with eight minutes left on the clock,
she scored all three goals for the win in regulation, with goals
at the 82:55, 84:30, 87:13 marks. She now leads the IIAC in
goals and points. Nationally she ranks 28th in points scored
(2.67); 35th in goals per game (1.111). She has helped the Spartans
to a 7-0-2 overall record and her team which ranks 24th in scoring
offense (3.78).
The
Spartans will face Clarke College on Thursday afternoon beginning
at 5:00 p.m. under the lights at Oyen Field.
