CEDAR RAPIDS , IOWA . . . Wartburg College senior middle hitter Ashley Rogers (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert) was tabbed a First Team Division III All-American with the announcement of the American Volleyball Coaches Association teams Tuesday. Rogers is the second volleyball player in school history to be selected All-American, joining former standout Dia Dohlman ’04 who was a second team honoree. She’s the first Wartburg player to be named first team. Central College senior setter Terri Berger (Sioux City, Iowa/Bishop Heelan) was an Honorable Mention selection.

Rogers is Wartburg’s career leader in kills (2,079), attack attempts (5,765), block assists (438), and total blocks (572). Her kill total ranks No. 16 all-time in NCAA Division III. She’s gained three all-Central Region awards and was named honorable mention All-American after her sophomore and junior seasons. Rogers also garnered the Iowa Conference’s Player of the Year award this fall and was a three-time first team all-league honoree.

Berger led the Dutch to their 12th straight Iowa Conference championship, their ninth league tournament title and their 11th NCAA Division III tourney berth. She averaged 10.99 assists with 1.93 kills while hitting .272. She had 0.36 service aces and 2.86 digs.
