COE AND WARTBURG RECEIVE
NWCA SCHOLAR TEAM HONORS
NINE INDIVIDUALS RECEIVE SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICA HONORS

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Coe College and Wartburg College have been recognized as two of the top 25 NCAA Division III Scholar Teams for the 2008-09 season by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA). In addition, nine individuals from the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) were named to the Scholar All-America Team.

The Kohawks compiled a 3.324 team grade point average to place 14th on the list, while the Knights posted a mark of 3.235 to rank 18th. Williams College (Mass.) topped the chart with a 3.545 grade point average.

Individuals from the IIAC acknowledged on the Scholar All-America Team included: Coe's Tyler Burkle and Rob Kramer, Dubuque's Josh Terrell, Loras' Mark Beatty, Luther's Jayson Swanson, Nic Barclay, and Alec Bonander, and Wartburg's Aaron Wernimont and Justin Hanson.
