STORM LAKE, IOWA . . . Buena Vista Director of Athletics Jan Travis has recently announced that Chelsea Anderson has been named the new head coach of the Buena Vista women’s golf team beginning this fall. Anderson, a December 2007 graduate of BVU, was a four-time letterwinner as a member of the women’s golf team.

“I am extremely excited to have Chelsea as a member of the BVU coaching family,” Travis states. “I look forward to her working with the individuals and passing on to them the knowledge she gained during her successful playing days as a Beaver.”

Anderson closed out her career by leading the Beavers with her third-place finish during the Iowa Conference Championships in the fall of 2007 – marking her best-ever finish in the event. She also posted two other top-10 individual finishes that season, including medalist honors at the Central College Fall Invite, an event that she won by three strokes.

“I am very excited to be the new women's golf coach at BVU,” says Anderson. “We are going to have a young group of ladies this fall, but I am excited to see what we can do together as a team. I graduated from BVU, and I am happy to be back at Buena Vista and to be a Beaver again!”

Anderson graduated with a degree in marketing and currently resides in Storm Lake.
