SIMPSON'S LUKE STOVER NAMED TO
D3FOOTBALL.COM ALL-AMERICA THIRD TEAM
LORAS' McGREW RECEIVES HONORABLE MENTION

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Simpson College defensive lineman Luke Stover (Sr., Muscatine, Iowa, Muscatine H.S.) has been named to the D3football.com All-America Third Team. The 6-2 business management major was chosen D3football.com second team All-Region and first team All-Conference in November. Stover was second in the Iowa Conference in sacks (7), second in tackles for a loss (18), and 23rd in tackles (65). Stover was 18th in Division III in tackles for a loss per game (1.8), and 53rd in sacks per game (0.7).

Loras running back Alex McGrew (Sr., Van Horne, Iowa, Benton Community), the 2008 Iowa Conference MVP, received honorable mention from the online publication. McGrew rushed for 1,592 yards and 20 touchdowns on 316 carries in ten games, setting new single-season records for rushing touchdowns (old record, 18), rushing attempts (old record, 295), and most 100-yard games (old record, 8). He also scored five rushing touchdowns against Dubuque to tie the modern-era Loras single-game mark. He concludes his career in third place all-time at Loras in rushing yards (2,936) and attempts (668). He is also fourth in career points with 176.
