LUTHER'S KIM LAMBERT NAMED
NFCA/LOUISVILLE SLUGGER DIVISION III
PLAYER OF THE WEEK

April 21, 2010

STARKVILLE, MISS. . . . Luther College senior Kim Lambert has been named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III Player of the Week for the week ending April 18, the association has announced. Lambert led Luther to a 5-1 week and its highest ranking of the season in the latest NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll at No. 4.

The Coal Valley, Ill., native raised her record to 11-2 overall after throwing shutouts against Cornell, Simpson, and Saint Mary’s (Minn.) last week. She allowed nine hits and walked eight while striking out 28 over 21 innings. The largest strikeout total during the week was 12 against Saint Mary’s (Minn.).
