CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Eight Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (IIAC) student-athletes have named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII College
Division Track & Field/Cross Country Teams selected by the College Sports Information
Directors of America (CoSIDA) recently.
Wartburg College led all Iowa Conference schools with three selections as Hannah Baker (Keota, Iowa/Keota) and Jenny Kordick (Truro, Iowa/Interstate 35) were named to the women's First Team and John Schulz (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/) was picked for the men's Second Team. Coe College also had multiple honorees as Lane Moser (Wapello, Iowa/Wapello) joined Schulz on the men's Second Team and Sarah Anciaux (Iowa City, Iowa/Iowa City) was tabbed for the women's Second Team.
Central's Jill Ziskovsky (Dallas Center, Iowa/Dallas Center-Grimes) and Simpson's Lauren Bucklin (Bondurant, Iowa/Bondurant-Farrar) were also selected to the women's First Team, while Loras' Mary Bridget Corken (Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert) joined Anciaux as a Second Team pick.
Baker is a senior biology major with a 3.98 grade-point average. Bucklin ins a senior psychology major with a 3.84 GPA. Ziskovsky is a junior communication studies and Spanish double major with a 3.95 GPA. Kordick is a senior biology major with a 3.76 GPA. Anciaux is a junior chemistry and Spanish double major with a 3.73 GPA. Corken is a senior sociology and history double major with a 3.80 GPA. Moser is a senior biology and molecular biology witha 3.50 GPA. Schulz is a sophomore biology and chemistry double major with a 4.0 GPA.

The Magazine Academic All-America® ballot. The ESPN
The Magazine Academic All-America® Men’s Track & Field/Cross Country Team is scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, June 22, followed by the Women's Team on Thursday, June 24.
To
be eligible for selection to the Academic All-District Team,
a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic and athletic
standing, be a starter or key reserve and possess at least a
3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
District
VII College Division includes NCAA Division II, NCAA Division
III and NAIA schools in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana,
Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
