DECORAH, IOWA . . . Luther College Director of Athletics Joe Thompson has announced that Teri Olson has accepted the position as head coach of women’s golf.
Olson, a 2005 graduate of Luther College, succeeds David Lester who resigned in May after serving as head coach for four years. Along with her new coaching duties, she will continue to serve as an assistant softball coach and will also work in the Communications and Marketing Department.
"I am excited that Teri has agreed to serve as our new women's golf coach. She has demonstrated many positive qualities and characteristics while serving as our assistant softball coach the past six years. She has been intimately involved in all aspects of our highly successful softball program and these experiences will serve her well as she takes the helm of the golf program. Teri will provide a positive experience for our women golfers and I am confident that the golf team will experience substantial success under her leadership."
