BUENA VISTA'S BODE
NAMED TO D3FOOTBALL.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK

STORM LAKE, IOWA . . . In addition to being named the Iowa Conference Defensive Performer of the Week, Buena Vista junior football player Brian Bode (Schaller, Iowa/Schaller-Crestland) has earned additional recognition this week by also landing a spot on the D3football.com Team of the Week.

Bode helped lead a defensive unit for BVU that allowed a season-low 226 yards of total offense during a 27-13 victory over visiting Loras College on Saturday, by setting career-highs in total tackles (14), tackles-for-loss (4), and sacks (3).

Bode is the first Beaver to be recognized by D3football.com since former quarterback Chris Hawkins earned such honors back in 2007.

Buena Vista (2-2, 1-1 IIAC) returns to play on Saturday by traveling to Wartburg College for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
