October 10 Janelle Claiborne, Simpson, Sr.
Won the Iowa Conference individual Championship defeating Wartburg’s Andrea Schiltz on the first hole of a sudden death playoff. Shot back-to-back 80s in the final two rounds of the Championship to move from four strokes back after the first 36-holes to the top of the leaderboard with a 315 (77-78-80-80).
October 3 Andrea Schiltz, Wartburg, So.
Holds a two-stroke lead after 36-holes of the Iowa Conference Championship with a 151. Shot an even-par 72 in the first round despite the windy and rainy weather conditions. Finished the opening weekend of the Championship with a second round 79 to help Wartburg to the team lead heading into this weekend’s final two rounds.
September 26 Jenni Juergens, Central, Sr.
Two top-three finishes in three Tournaments during the week. Opened the week with an 86 at the Luther Invitational, tying for 22nd in the 85-golfer Tournament. Tied for the lead at the Iowa Wesleyan Invitational with a 77, but ended third (of 57-golfers) following a playoff. Won her final Tournament of the week, the Coe Invitational, by one stroke with an 80.
September 19 Lizeth Turk, Loras, So.
Won the Clarke Invitational with an 83, leading the Duhawks to the team title. Followed that performance with a 92 at the Loras Invitational.
September 12 Andrea Schiltz, Wartburg, So.
Won her second straight tournament, winning the Wartburg Invitational with a 36-hole score of 156 (79-77). She finished one stroke ahead of the field, leading the Knights to the Tournament title. Second round 77 equaled her lowest round of the year.
September 5 Jennifer Stork, Buena Vista, So.
Won the Northwestern (Iowa) Lady Red Raider Invitational and the Buena Vista Invitational. Shot an even-par-72 in the Northwestern Invitational to win by seven strokes in the 62-golfer field. Followed that performance with a 77 to win the 90-golfer Buena Vista Invitational by two strokes.
