2-0 during the week with two complete game shutouts. Struck out eight batters and allowed 10 hits and three walks in 12 innings.
April 18 Tina Shimak, Central, Fr., DP
Hit .727 (8-for-11) in four games. Had 8 RBI, three doubles and a grand slam (1.273 slugging pct.).
April 11 Bradi Smith, Simpson, So., P
4-0 during the week with a 0.26 ERA. Struck out 36 batters and allowed 14 hits in 27 innings. Named to Grinnell Invitational All-Tournament Team.
April 4 Alex Myers, Cornell Jr., CF
Hit .412 (14-for-34) in eight games to extend hit streak to 16 games. Had 4 2B and 2 3B, scored 9 runs and drove in 8.
March 28 Michele Kearney, Loras, Jr., C
Hit .571 (8-for-14) in five games during the week with two three-hit performances.
March 21 Katie Chambers, Luther, Jr., 2B
Hit .565 (13-for-23) during the week with 16 RBI and a 1.130 slugging pct. (3 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR).
March 14 Bradi Smith, Simpson, So., P
5-0 during the week with a 0.78 ERA, 38 strikeouts, 3 walks in 27 IP. Allowed just 4 runs (3 earned) in 4 starts and 1 relief appearance.
