Ashley Rogers, Wartburg College, Dubuque, Iowa/Wahlert
Rogers, a senior first baseman, hit .750 with four home runs, a 2.250 slugging percentage and an .818 on-base percentage as No. 8-ranked Wartburg captured its third consecutive Iowa Conference tournament title. Her batting average rose 28 points (.363-.391) during the tournament. She hit a home run in each of the Knights’ three games, including two in Wartburg’s opening win over Luther. April 27
Courtney Bain, Wartburg College, Ottumwa, Iowa/Ottumwa
Bain, a junior outfielder, hit three home runs during the week, one of them a grand slam, as No. 8-ranked Wartburg clinched its third Iowa Conference softball championship. She recorded a 1.200 slugging percentage during the week. Her two home runs in the Cornell sweep provided the margins of victory. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
April 20
Ellie Schultz, Coe College, Clayton, Iowa/Clayton Ridge
Schultz, a junior pitcher, was 3-2 in the circle last week, including a sweep of Central and a 2-0 shutout over sixth-ranked Wartburg. Schultz no-hit the Knights through five innings. Her win over Wartburg gave her 66 for her career, a new school record. She gave up only three earned runs in 28 innings of work during the week. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
April 13
BreAnn VanDeer, Luther College, Webster City, Iowa/Webster City
VanDeer, a junior pitcher, pitched two complete-game wins during the week. She threw a four-hit shutout against Dubuque April 9, striking out 12 while allowing only four hits. Against Buena Vista on April 13, she picked up a save in game one then allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts in the second game. She raised her record to 7-2 overall while seeing her ERA fall to 1.19. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
April 6
Calie Hohneke, Simpson College, Indianola, Iowa/Indianola
Hohneke, a senior pitcher/designated player, started three of four games in the circle for the Storm, posting a 3-1 record and notching 41 strikeouts in 28 2/3 innings pitched. She pitched a one-hitter against Crown (Minn.) April 1, then took a loss despite throwing a one-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader against No. 12 Wartburg April 2. In an April 5 doubleheader sweep of Luther, she struck out 21 Norse batters. Hohneke pitched 8 2/3 innings of relief in game one to pick up the victory and then tossed her fifth career no-hitter as she went nine innings during Simpson’s 2-1 victory in game two. Tami Magner, Luther College, Waukon, Iowa/Waukon
Magner, a senior catcher, hit .560 with 14 hits in 25 at-bats as the Norse posted a 6-2 record last week. She scored 11 runs, drove in 12, hit two doubles, a triple, four home runs, and stole three bases during the eight-game stretch. Magner, who hit her ninth and 10th home runs of the year in a doubleheader split with Coe March 29, also went errorless in 73 chances in the field.

Kim Hess, Luther College, Paynesville, Minn./Paynesville
Hess, a junior outfielder, hit .714 with 10 hits in 14 at-bats as the Norse posted a 3-1 record last week. She scored three runs, drove in one, hit a triple and stole two bases during the four-game stretch. (IIAC Female Athlete of the Week)
March 16
Kelsie Host, Simpson College, Altoona, Iowa/Southeast Polk
Host, a sophomore outfielder, hit. 625 with 20 hits in 32 at-bats as the Storm posted a 7-3 record last week. She also scored 11 runs, knocked in eight, hit two doubles and broke the school record for triples in a season with six during the week. She now has eight doubles on the season. March 9
Hailey Dreyer, University of Dubuque, Twin Lakes, Wis./Wilmont Union
Dreyer, a sophomore outfielder/pitcher, has opened the season with 11 hits in 25 at-bats (.440 average) with 10 RBI, four doubles, one triple and a home run. She has also posted a 2-0 record as a pitcher to lead the Spartans to an 8-0 start.
