PELLA, IOWA . . . Central College senior point guard Miguel Ley (San Antonio, Texas/Judson) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III all-district second team for the West region.
The NABC Division III all-district teams recognize the best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America.
Ley was a first-team all-region selection for the Iowa Conference championship Dutch and is a three-time all-conference pick being tagged as the league’s MVP this season. He received all-West region recognition from D3hoops.com.
He closed his career at Central averaging 18.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game. Ley is listed as the second-leading scorer in school history with 1,563 points, tied the school season assists record with 141 and was second in career assists with 326.
