RAPIDS, IOWA . . . Men's golf squads from Luther College and Wartburg College are among 19 NCAA Division III squads to be named All-Academic Teams by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for the 2008-09 academic year. Gustavus Adolphus College had the highest recorded GPA among Division III schools and were named Academic National Champions. The Gusties were also accorded President's Special Recognition for earning a team GPA of 3.50 or better.
A total of 82 schools across all three divisions of the NCAA, the NAIA, and NJCAA were honored.
To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors a college or university must submit the grade points earned and hours attempted for each player on its official squad list for the academic year.
