FIVE IIAC SOCCER SIDES
EARN NSCAA TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD

December 3, 2008

CEDAR RAPIDS , IOWA . . . A total of five Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) soccer teams (3 women, 2 men) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2008-09 academic year.

Women's teams from Central College, University of Dubuque, and Wartburg College were recognized, as was the men's squads from Luther College and Wartburg. Central (3.33 GPA) posted the highest team grade point average of the four IIAC squads honored, followed by the Wartburg women (3.21), Wartburg men (3.19), Dubuque women (3.16), and Luther men (3.10).
